CARE! (Call Reassurance Program)

The Fairfield County Sheriff's Office has provided the citizens of Fairfield County a free program from Database Systems Corp. which provides phone systems and software that assist communities by automatically calling homebound residents, particularly the elderly, ensuring their well-being. This program is called CARE!, or Call Reassurance.  This is also referred to to as a "R U Ok" program.

CARE! recipients receive a daily call and if our phone system determines that the call is not answered, our CARE! program automatically contacts a family member or community worker. This type of program is credited with saving the lives of three Fairfield County residents.
