Investigative Bureau
The Detective Bureau is responsible for initiating and conducting criminal investigations into crimes of violence, such as murder, assault, and robbery, as well as property-related crimes, such as burglary and theft.
Lieutenant Tim Voris is the Detective Bureau Commander. Lt Voris received his Ohio Peace Officers Commission certificate in 1983 from the Sheriff's Office academy and began his career at the Sheriff's Office in 1985. He has worked and supervised in each of the department's divisions over the last twenty years. In 2001 Lt. Voris was the Patrol Bureau Commander before moving to the investigative division in December 2009. You may reach Lt. Voris at (740) 652-7333.
