JAIL BUREAU



Fairfield County Jail Facility, Lieutenant Lee Hawks
This facility was built in 2017 and is a maximum level security facility. As of 2020, with a three year average, we had a daily population of 189 male prisoners and 69 female prisoners.

PATROL BUREAU



Patrol Bureau Commander, Lieutenant Jason Hodder
The Patrol Bureau also provides support to the other villages and cities in the county that have their own law enforcement agencies: Baltimore, Carroll, Columbus, Lancaster, Lithopolis, Millersport, Pickerington, Reynoldsburg and Sugar Grove.

INVESTIGATION BUREAU



Detective Bureau Commander, Sergeant John Warner
Detective Bureau is responsible for initiating and conducting criminal investigations into crimes of violence, such as murder, assault, and robbery, as well as property-related crimes, such as burglary and theft.

COMMUNICATIONS BUREAU



Communications Bureau is responsible for dispatching the Sheriff’s Office, 11 volunteer Township Fire Departments, and 5 village Police Departments; it receives 9-1-1 emergency calls and non-emergency calls.

COMMUNITY SERVICES BUREAU



Sergeant T. J. Strawn
Community Services are responsible for all Public Appearances for the Sheriff's Office. Other responsibilities include Neighborhood Watch Programs, Community Policing, Public Education in Safety.

CHILD SUPPORT DIVISION



The Child Support Enforcement Agency is under the umbrella of Job and Family Services of Fairfield County.

CIVIL SERVICES AND FISCAL SERVICES BUREAU



The Sheriff’s Office consolidated three areas: Civil Services, Fiscal Services and Human Resources for the Sheriff’s Office to create the Civil Service Section.

MAJOR CRIMES



Fairfield-Hocking Major Crimes Unit is to produce innovative, proactive responses to street level crime problems based on crime statistics, trend identification and identified community needs and concerns.

S.W.A.T.



The Sheriff's Office Special Weapons And Tactics (S.W.A.T.) team was formed in an effort to enhance the Sheriff's Office's ability to quickly respond to dangerous and unusual situations.
